What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation in which the subconscious mind is highly receptive. We all experience hypnosis many times throughout our day. It's that calm, comfortable feeling right before sleep, upon waking, or in deep meditation. It's getting lost in a daydream while walking or driving and realizing you hadn't been focused on your surroundings. It's watching an episode of Game of Thrones and being so enthralled that you feel like you were actually there when Jon Snow... no spoilers, I promise. 

 

During these times our subconscious mind is extremely open and receptive to suggestions coming from our own thoughts or from other people. So, the question is not if you can be hypnotized, it's do you want to use hypnosis for your growth and benefit?

What can I expect from a Hypnotherapy session with you?

After answering any questions you have about hypnosis, I will listen to your goals and desires for self-improvement and together we'll agree on a therapeutic approach. With your permission, I will guide you into a deeply relaxed state, help you quiet your mind, and create a calm, content emotional state. Then I'll work with your subconscious to support the agreed upon goals. In this state, the thoughts and ideas that align with what you consciously desire can be accepted into your unconscious mind and the old habits, behaviors, and patterns can begin to change.

During the hypnotic session, you are not asleep. You may feel like you are resting but you may notice that your mind is quite alert. Most people report an energizing experience of intense concentration and awareness. Everything that occurs during your session can be recalled and, afterwards, we'll discuss the content of your experience as well as the next steps on your journey.

You will leave feeling refreshed and alert with a wonderful sense of well-being.
